How did you start TimeZero?
TimeZero emerged from Raima's decades of work building safety-critical database systems for aerospace, automotive, and industrial applications. While solving functional safety compliance challenges for our own products — particularly achieving ISO 26262 and DO-178C certification — we developed novel AI-driven techniques that automated what traditionally required months of manual engineering effort. When we demonstrated the ability to generate certification-grade test suites and traceability artifacts autonomously, it became clear this technology could transform the entire functional safety industry, not just our internal processes.
What is your relationship with Raima?
TimeZero operates as an independent spin-off with a clean IP structure, while maintaining a strategic relationship with Raima. Raima serves as both a development partner and a real-world proving ground: TimeZero's technology has been validated on Raima's 94,000-line safety-critical codebase, achieving certification-ready results in production use. This relationship gives TimeZero unique credibility — our tools aren't theoretical; they've already passed the ultimate test of generating artifacts used in actual certification programs. Raima benefits from cutting-edge automation tooling, while TimeZero gains battle-tested validation and deep domain expertise in safety-critical systems.
Can you use any AI/LLM out there?
Yes! Our software can use any Large Language Model to work effectively, whether publicly accessible or a private instance
But is it "safe" to use LLMs?
TimeZero uses an internally deployed, fully transparent large language model exclusively as an assistive component for documentation, analysis, and workflow acceleration.
All safety-relevant outputs are validated by deterministic engines and human engineers.
The LLM is not part of any safety-critical control path.
